It’s getting closer to the upcoming NFL season, NFL betting action, and the pursuit of the Super Bowl by the New York Giants.  Now is a good time to analyze some interesting bets in the NFL.  The New York Giants certainly had an interesting and tumultuous 2015 season and need to rebound in a big way in 2016 to satisfy the hardcore fan base filling up that new stadium.  That’s an interesting story to follow for sure but for those that might like to add some entertainment action to the games, one of the questions is if the New York Giants can make the Super Bowl.  Oddsmakers are offering you 15/1 currently on the New York Giants winning the NFC Championship.

This might be an interesting proposition to consider.  The New York Giants, despite coming off a 6-10 record in 2015, do have some very explosive weapons on offense.  First, let’s take a peek at the schedule.  Looking at this schedule the only real skullcrusher of a stretch appears to be back to back games at the Minnesota Vikings and at the Green Bay Packers on a Monday night and then Sunday night respectively.  Certainly that is a tough two game stretch but the rest of the schedule is filled with games against division foes in the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Philadelphia Eagles along with non-division games against the likes of New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Rams.

The New York Giants have Odell Beckham Jr. along with an intriguing pick in Sterling Shephard to go along with Cruz and a revamped running attack.  They also spruced up the defensive line and the secondary.  The free agent signing of CB Janoris Jenkins is a great example of how aggressively the Giants are approaching this season.  If the New York Giants can protect Eli Manning is it that crazy to think they could finish 10-6 or even 11-5?  If they do that and get hot a couple playoff wins are not out of the question and they are paying you 15/1 to find out.  The key to this wager is just getting them in the playoffs with a shot to go on a run.  The NFC East competition won’t be a walk in the park but it is certainly not an insurmountable obstacle for a revamped Giants team.
