Is Top Chef Coming Back?
If you love watching Top Chef, you will definitely want to know what channels are being offered on TV this summer. According to the official website of Top Chef, America’s Top Chef, the main article in this month’s issue of Prevention is going to be the Best Show. The main article features an interview with Top Chef Hosts Simon Halls and Tom Myers. It will also feature the second annual Top Chef Competition, which takes place during the month of August for those who weren’t able to attend in season 18. It will feature the “Best Show” team of Courteney Cox, Eric Jennings, Kate Capshaw and Jessicainic Acrasale.
So who’s hosting the reality cooking show in September/October? It is Simon Halls, who recently left his position as Executive Chef at Le Hallis and is now focusing on cooking shows full time. He previously worked with the Dolce and Gabbana brand and has been cooking for America’s Top Chef since 2021. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and he is a certified Bitter American. Tom Myers is also joining the cast as the Master Chefs of USA Network’s Top Chef. He is a former contestant on the popular reality show Top Chef and has also worked with America’s Top Chef.
The new competitions that will air in October will see the elimination of Top Chef Season 17’s Top Chef from the show. Some of the chefs that will be eliminated will be: Gordon Ramsey, David Chang, Rachel Ray, Tomatoes Producers, Gary Null and of course, Simon Halls. There will still be a final four, but those four have already made their eliminations. The format of the show is similar to that of the finale of Top Chef, where the chefs are blindfolded and they must use their favorite sauces or appetizers to impress the judges. However, this time, the chefs must work their culinary skills to create food that is not only mouth-watering but healthy as well.
The top chef from the season becomes the “Ultimate Top Chef” and gets to take home the coveted trophy money along with the additional title of “World’s Top Chef”. This money is generated by the sale of all-star tickets. Although many of the all-star tickets sold are for Season 17 only, there is still a healthy following amongst the regular viewers and many of them keep on watching the show either because it becomes their all-time favorite or because it keeps renewing its guests.
