Patriots vs Titans – Wild Card Playoffs
The New England Patriots take on the tough and rugged Tennessee Titans in the wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. Speculation swirls around of this is the last game for Tom Brady at Gillette Stadium, but the more important issue is the game itself.
This Titans team won’t give up and refuses to go away. Once an afterthought for the playoffs, the pesky Titans are storming into the Razah full of juice and energy. Should be an exciting game. Stephon Gilmore had a rough game last out versus Miami, but Patriots insiders and experts expect him to bounce bag very strongly on Saturday night.
The Patriots versus Dolphins is the last thing standing between the Pats and the #2 seed in the AFC and a bye week.
It’s pandemonium in New England with the New England Patriots not occupying the #1 seed in the AFC. The Patriots have now been soundly defeated by both the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans, and in to town now arrives a very hungry Kansas City Chiefs team looking to get back on track.
There is no doubt that the offense of the New England Patriots is struggling to get going. There are very few big plays and Tom Brady is having his worst season in a very long time.
The Dallas Cowboys visit the New England Patriots in an epic showdown with lots of playoff potential up in the air. As the Patriots try to generate some offense, the Cowboys look to clear the hump of hovering around .500.
The Patriots are coming off a bye after getting smoked by Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. The Philadelphia Eagles are at 5-4 and have an excellent chance to zoom right past the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East as the Cowboys just lost again last week. The Eagles are desperate for a win versus New England.
Looking to evolve and expand their offense, the Patriots are welcoming back WR and 1st Round Pick N’Keal Harry to the lineup. It’s not clear how much he will play, but the Patriot offense is lacking in explosive plays and deep pass patterns.
Weather: it is pouring rain in Foxboro and the forecast for this game is temperatures in the low 50’s and a 100% chance of rain. It will be a sloppy game featuring a standout defense versus a QB that turns the ball over a lot in Browns QB Baker Mayfield.
The Cleveland Browns likely had this game circled when the schedules came out – a national stage to display how far they have come and how they are ready to compete with the top echelon of NFL teams. However, a ton has changed since then. The Browns are a turnover machine and the Patriots defense is putting up crazy numbers and creating turnovers at a very, very high rate. This is a major challenge for the Browns.
Devin McCourty has five interceptions and Stephon Gilmore has three, and here are the complete defensive stats for the 2019 New England Patriots:
It appears that the Josh Gordon tenure in New England is over. With Sanu in this mix via trade, and Harry returning to action Gordon is being let go and can be waived as soon as he clears medically. Bennett was also traded in what could be a flurry of moves over the next set of hours and days by the Patriots.
The Cleveland Browns have benched their starting LT ahead of this game versus the New England Patriots – certainly an interesting move facing the league’s best defense with a turnover prone offense.
The schedule certainly picks up the pace in this section for the year for the Patriots, as they have upcoming games versus the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens not to mention the showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Monday Night Football MNF – Live Stream Patriots vs Jets
New York Jets QB Sam Dranold is back in action, and the Jets defeated the Dallas Cowboys in his first game back. Darnold is out this week talking about how the Jets offense is “unstoppable” according to him as key players get back.
Josh Gordon is OUT on Monday Night with a knee and ankle issue.
Chad Finn says the Jets could give the Patriots a major test and battle on Monday Night Football.
Greg Bedard of BSJ breaks down the poor offensive performance by the Patriots in their victory over the Giants.
New England Patriots vs NY Giants: Thursday Night Football October 10th – 4K HDR
Lots of chatter and clamoring for a trade at WR, and Stefon Diggs keeps popping up. BSJ takes a dive into if that is even plausible, and the salary cap issues have a lot to do with it. Who is to say anyways if the Vikings even want to get rid of him?
NY Giants Head Coach Pat Shurmur is blasting off with a bunch of tough guy talk, but the Giants are what they are. The Vikings dominated the New York Giants, and QB Daniel Jones is getting a reality check. It does not appear as though RB Barkley will be back for this game. The Giants are expecting to get back two key defensive players however for this game against the Patriots. Both Tae Davis and Alec Ogletree are expected to return to action at linebacker for Big Blue on Thursday Night.
As nice as it will be for the New York Giants to have these guys back on defense, the team appears to be heading into a fight with the Patriots top notch defense missing four key ingredients in its offensive unit. The missing players including RB Barkley and WR Shephard account for a whopping 58% of the Giants total offensive production. Not ideal when you have a chance to make up ground against the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.
Sporting News has the Power Rankings published for Week 6 in the 2019 NFL Season. They have the Patriots ranked #1 overall and the NY Giants ranked 24th.
New Patriots kicker Mike Nugent was a little shaky in his debut as he too missed an extra point. veteran patriots Kicker Gostkowski had repeatedly missed extra points until he was ultimately put on IR and scheduled for hip surgery, though he expects to return in time for the 2020 season.
This Giants versus Patriots Thursday Night Football contest is seeing the largest point spread in the history of Thursday Night Football.
Though the NY Giants offense is rather muted currently, BostonSportsJounral.com offers five reasons why the Giants defense could be bringing some intriguing heat against the Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
Washington Redskins vs New England Patriots: 1PM EST, Sunday October 6th

Week 5 – Patriots vs Redskins
The New England Patriots placed kicker Stephen Gostkowski on IR earlier in the week. The team then signed veteran free agent Mike Nugent. Gostkowski needs hip surgery and is expected back in 2020.
The bigger questions here are around QB. Who is starting for the Redskins and will Tom Brady and the Patriots offense have a little more sizzle this week? It was clear that Redskins Head Coach jay Gruden WAS in fact correct when he kept saying rookie Dwayne Haskins is not ready, but at 0-4 and facing termination sometimes things change and lineups adjust. As of Thursday night it was still up in the air and Gruden would not pin down anything.
Patriots Free Safety Devin McCourty was a much deserving winner of the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September. McCourty is dominating this season with interceptions and making all kids of big plays. It’s great to see him get that recognition as he has been nothing but a solid performer his entire career.
In the drama category, stepping in for Antonio Brown formerly of the Oakland Raiders in Patriots land is none other than Mike Florio. Florio is jumping on Patriots LB Kyle Van Noy for striking a balance and trying to identify himself with merely himself rather than with Rodney Harrison. Florio has been attacking Van Noy this week and Van Noy is defending his take on Rodney Harrison and his game versus that of himself and these 2019 New England Patriots.
Patriots Week 5 Injury Report 2019
Patriots Defensive Stats Week 5 2019
Jamie Collins leads the club with 23 total tackles and also has three interceptions thus far. Collins is playing at a Pro Bowl level and doing it all on the defensive side of the football.
Week 4
The clash of two unbeaten teams will take place in Orchard Park, NY on Sunday afternoon when the New England Patriots visit the Buffalo Bills.
New England Patriots Week 4 Injury Report 2019
Buffalo Bills Week 4 Injury Report 2019
The Patriots will look to stay unbeaten as they visit a pesky and resilient Buffalo Bills team whose fans will certainly be all lubricated up and jacked up bringing the energy for this one. The Patriots defense has been simply sensational this season. One component helping that is the work of the punter, Jake Bailey. Bailey is booming moonshots and pinning teams deep left and right. The defense has yet to allow a TD this season as the only TD scored came off of a pick six interception return by the NY Jets.
Boston Sports Journal and analyst Greg Bedard have identified three keys to this game and emphasize that the game ultimately for the Bills will come down to one thing – QB Josh Allen. Allen has been a gamer and playing gutsy football for the Buffalo Bills, but now he faces perhaps the best defense in the NFL. He’s at home which will help but this is still the stiffest test so far for Josh Allen in his career perhaps.
Patriots WR Josh Gordon has really been diving deeper into his game and into the culture of the team as well. Gordon did not contribute anything to the Antonio Brown drama even though he had plenty of reason to wonder if the arrival of Brown would impact his touches. Gordon said nothing. The catches he is making and damage to his body is not going unnoticed by teammates or fans. WR Josh Gordon is becoming a bit of a legend in Patriots nation.
The combined record of the opponents thus far for the Patriots is 0-9. That record is 1-8 for Bills opponents. This game here is a key clash in Week 4 of the NFL that should help establish more of a clear picture of who is who and what teams are made of.
National media and the friendly confines of New York are certainly rooting for the Bills to upend the Patriots. The NYPost.com specifically points out that this Week 4 game is a chance for the Bills to “send a message” to the Patriots and the rest of the NFL in 2019.
There are plenty of predictions piling up for his game between the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills. Even 98.5 and all of the geniuses on the radio have chimed in to tell you the precise predictions for Patriots versus Bills.
Alex Kay of Forbes is not yet nibbling on the Bills and their 3-0 start. Kay lists the Pats -7 as his best bet of the week as Forbes.com has a prediction for Patriots versus Bills in Week 4 of the 2019 season of Patriots 27 Bills 14.
New England Patriots Week 4 Injury Report 2019
Julian Edelman was listed as limited this week and tackle Isiah Wynn is still out.
Buffalo Bills Week 4 Injury Report 2019
Patriots LT Wynn out for a while. He has a toe issue.
WR Antonio Brown will not face criminal charges in Pennsylvania. Brown will play against the NY Jets.
The Patriots are favored by 23 points in this ballgame. The New York Jets got dusted by the mediocre Cleveland Browns on Monday night, and now travel to New England on a short week. They also lost another QB in that game.
Here’s the Jets team stats for 2019 thus far:
NY Jets Injury Report Week 3 2019:
The Patriots are far from perfect, and have not gotten the running game going yet. With multiple injuries up front and shuffling by OL Coach and wizard Dante Scarnecchia, the Patriots look to get that ground game going versus the NY Jets on Sunday. If they need to nurse a lead and kill the clock this might be just what the doctor ordered.
The Patriots cut ties with WR Antonio Brown after a brief 11 day honeymoon which saw Brown catch a TD pass in the rout of the Miami Dolphins. This is a big relief for many in the organization. The team can get back to just focusing on what they have and the great opportunities they have in front of them. There is still much more production to extract from WR Josh Gordon and WR Phillip Dorsett. The Patriots can get more catches and touchdowns from Josh Gordon and Dorsett, and Brown’s departure helps this.
NYPost experts and Boston Sports Journal experts got together to talk Pats versus Jets, predictions for the game on September 22nd in Foxboro, injury and depth charts, and the 2019 schedules for the NY Jets and New England Patriots. Brown of course did not avoid socialmedia after his release. Brown dove right into the Instagram and Twitter and of course jumped to social media to discuss his release from the Patriots.

New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins: 1PM EST, Sunday September 15th
Watch the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots play on Sunday at 1PM live streaming online for free. Tune in to see Antonio Brown and Tom Brady and other NFL stars.
Obviously the majority of attention to this game surrounds Antonio Brown the newly acquired WR by the New England Patriots. The Oakland Raiders released Brown and the Patriots signed him just a few short hours later. We don’t really even know how much Brown will play on Sunday if at all. We shall see.
What we do know is that the Miami Dolphins were just simply blasted off the gridiron last Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens mauled the Fish and carved them up. The key in this game will be what shows up for the Dolphins. Do the players care enough to rebound? How many players are assuming they lose to the Patriots here in Week 2 of the 2019 NFL Season? It will be interesting to see what happens. The Dolphins need to stand firm and grind this out. it is a very long season still ahead.
Analysts and experts are diving into the potential of Tom Brady throwing to Antonio Brown, and we have all heard about Brown living with Brady and working out at TB12. The Brady to Brown connection is yet to be determined, but there is data suggesting what might happen.
Sunday Update: Antonio Brown did indeed travel with the team down to Miami to face the Miami Dolphins.
Week 1 saw a defensive masterpiece from the Patriots versus the Steelers. Let’s see what they come out with against the Miami Dolphins. Historically the biggest factor in these September Miami games down in Miami has been the heat and humidity. Many times the Dolphins have beaten the Patriots by wearing them down in the second half. The heat and humidity can be brutal.
The patriots defense only gave up 308 yards total in Week 1 to the Steelers and just an inconsequential 32 yards rushing. This Patriots defense in 2019 has the chance to perhaps be something special. There does not appear to be any holes in it at this point. D’Onta Hightower at linebacker is slimmer and in better shape and condition. he is moving around very well. The McCourty twins are always in the right place at the right time.
First Drive: Antonio Brown had three catches on three targets in the first drive for the Patriots.

Eagles Patriots Super Bowl
Oddsmaker’s had lots of time to scrutinize the football season’s game, therefore total and the side are likely to be numbers. You see line motion on Super Bowls. Proposition bets provide bettors a wonderful chance to find numbers that are soft and bets. But you cannot do guess work, you’ve to do some homework. Let’s do some research and go through a prop. For instance, there’s a line offered on the Steelers\/Seahawks Super Bowl this weekend that reads: What half will the most points be scored in? The 2nd half opened +110.
Is this a number that is good? Just thinking about what may occur, it seems to conclude that both coaches, Bill Cowher and Mike Holmgren, are ball control gurus. Control the clock and they seem to establish their games. Probably the first half will be conservative, with the second half wide open as the team appears to catch up. But let us not stop there. Can there be anything in history that is to support this? Last season, Eagles and the Patriots were tied 7-7 at the half there were 31 points scored into the second half. As we reasoned above, the Patriots jumped ahead 24-14 forcing the Eagles to pass more in the fourth quarter to get back in the game.
Chalk up one for the second half having longer scoring. 2 years ago, the Patriots and also Panthers scored 24 first half points. Then they scored 35 in the second half. Actually, there was no scoring into the 3rd quarter and after that the teams broke for 35 points in the wildest 4th quarter in Super Bowl memory. 3 years ago, the Buccaneers led the Raiders 20-3 at the half. That is 23 point. The Bucs went on to win 48-21, so there were 46 second half points. 4 years ago, the Patriots led the Rams 14-3 at the half, then the teams combined for 20 second half points.
Before that, the Ravens were up 10-0 on the Giants in the half, then the teams combined for 31 second half points. Before that, the Rams led 9-0 at the half over Tennessee. The teams combined for 30 second half points. Before that, Denver led Atlanta 17-6 in the half, a combined 23 points. Like the Patriots\/Panthers Super Bowl, there was no scoring in the third quarter, and then the teams erupted for 30 fourth quarter points. If you are keeping score, that is 7-0 the last seven years where there’s been longer scoring into the second half than the very first half. In the Broncos\/Packers Super Bowl before that, the teams combined for 31 first half points, then 24 second half points.
