Top Five Alice in Chains Songs – Alice in Chains has so many great tracks in their catalog it is extremely difficult to choose a set of the top five or ten songs.  However, we’ll give it a shot as the band continues to tear up venues nationwide.  You can even catch them with GnR if you would like to do so.  Maybe they will play live a few of these top five songs from Alice in Chains.

How much does this list change for you with the new album Rainier Fog?  We love some tracks on it so we’ll have to adjust eventually.  Tracks like “Maybe”, “Red Giant”, “Not The One You Know”, and “So far Under” among others kick ass!

1. “Rain When I Die”

So smooth.  Love the long introduction.  Lyrically simple yet powerful.

2. “Phantom Limb”

An intensely creative and powerful gem off the oft overlooked most recent album.  This song takes AIC into a different category and hit me as a very successful attempt to project an even more powerful and intense image.

3. “Down In A Hole”

A musical masterpiece.  This track is constructed perfectly.  The way it blends together and how the vocals synchronize with all of the band members is masterful.

4. “Would”

Short, fast, intense, creative, unique, and powerful.  Who hasn’t belted out this one while driving around town or on the highway?

5. “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here”

A rather peculiar track that frankly made me like it more and more each time I listened to it.  I’m not entirely sure I completely understand it yet but I know I love it.
