For many, visiting the campus of Penn State University is a once in a lifetime experience. This popular college is located in Pennsylvania and is one of only five colleges in the entire country to be a part of the prestigious Big Ten Conference. The university has a rich history and educational achievements, but it is not just about football and baseball. In fact, there is so much more to the university than just those two sports. The vast number of programs and initiatives that the university has throughout the year make it a very popular place for college students to visit on any given weekend. The school and athletic programs have long rivalries with the likes of Michigan State University, which also happens to be located in Michigan, but the competition is not what it once was.

The university’s most well known sport by far is its great athletic program. Penn State has a rich history of producing some of the top college football players in the nation. The Nittany Lions has claimed national titles in both Football and Men’s College Sports multiple times. This is truly a title, any college football fan should have the opportunity to see and experience. So when you go to visit the college football field, make sure to bring your camera. You never know what might happen while you are there.

Penn State is home to one of America’s biggest and most storied football teams. When you visit the college football field, be sure to take in all of the historical significance of this venue. You can even catch a game from virtually any of the stadiums that are on the venue’s 100-acre grounds.

You can see why so many people visit the area each year to see if they can win the Big Ten Conference. Penn State has been there for so many years and has claimed so many conference championships. It will be a true sense of accomplishment to visit and see these landmarks for yourself. It is something that will stay with you for life.

Another reason to visit the area is that the atmosphere in general is wonderful. It may be cold outside but the football field is warm enough. In fact, it may be better than many of the cold destinations you may have visited in the past. You are not literally going to be stuck inside the stadium during the cold winter months. You will have plenty to do outside in the sunshine.

For a person to really experience the history of Penn State, they may want to visit the Joe Paterno Museum. There is a great exhibit of Paterno’s career accomplishments. You can also learn about the dedication of former players to the community and to the school. The exhibits may even lead you into learning about the Joe Paterno legacy that may have otherwise been overlooked. You may find yourself thinking back on some of the fond memories of past seasons.

There is always something to do at the college and there is always something to see and do outside of the football field as well. If you are a history buff, there is no shortage of places to explore. You may want to take a tour of the old locker rooms that have been used by the Nittany Lions over the years. There are many interesting artifacts to be found in these rooms.

You can also visit the State College campus on your way to the football field. You will find it to be a beautiful place to enjoy a lunch or a sit down dinner. You will not feel like you are in the past when you visit. There is so much to see and do in this amazing town.
