The Brooklyn Nets are bringing back some ’90s fashion for the 2020-21 NBA season.
On Wednesday, the team unveiled its Nike Classic Edition jerseys — red, white and blue with a tie-dye pattern — that pay homage to the Nets’ roots in New Jersey, where the franchise started as the ABA’s New Jersey Americans in 1967. The Nets relocated to Brooklyn in 2012 and have sported a black-and-white color scheme ever since.
The team took to social media to show off the retro look that Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and the Nets will wear next season.
Former Nets Kenny Anderson and Derrick Coleman, the 1991 Rookie of the Year with New Jersey, shared their excitement for the throwback.
