Super Bowl 2022- What we know so far.
It may still be some months away, but we are all thinking about what things may be looking like when we hit the 2022 Super Bowl. The Buccaneers are the reigning NFL champions as it stands, but there is no saying yet who will play in the playoffs, and who will lift the Lombardi Trophy at the end of this season.
Last year, the Buccaneers dominated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9, and they managed to keep their whole core of stars together in free agency. Yet, it looks like they may well repeat last year’s victory again.
We cannot give you a prediction of who will be at the Super Bowl in 2022, however, what we can do is give you an idea of who might appear there based on the current scoring and the potential Super Bowl odds.
Current odds for the 2022 Super Bowl.
As it stands at the moment, the odds are looking much like you might expect, with the Buccaneers at the top of the list with the highest chance to win at +550 or thereabout. The Buffalo Bills are close behind the buccaneers with +600 to win. The Houston Texans are at the bottom with the least chance of winning at +200000 to win, accompanied by the Jacksonville Jaguars at +250000 and the Detroit Lions at +250000.
Having just won the Super Bowl LV, bookmakers feel like the Buccaneers have a good chance of retaining their crown and winning it a back to back in 2022.
Brady might be 43, but he really showed up the Chiefs last year, and he guided the Buc’s to their second-ever Super Bowl victory. Despite his age, there is no doubt that Brady is one of the best players in the NFL, and so the money is on Brady and the Buccaneers for Super Bowl 2022.
Who do we think will be the playoff teams?
If you know anything about the Super Bowl, you will know that before we even get there, we have to consider the playoff teams from each conference and each division. Let’s look at who we think will be the division teams in each conference.
AFC North.
Could the Ravens be the AFC North champions? Lamar Jacksons’ 500-yard, four-touchdown performance in a comeback against the Indianapolis Colts in week 5 has us wondering if perhaps the Baltimore Ravens have something to show us this year.
AFC South.
As we watch the progression of the games, it is starting to look more and more like Tennessee is going to go for the AFC South, with them having started the season 1-4. Okay, they have some defense issues, but their offense is absolutely beaming!
AFC West.
Of the west division, the Los Angeles Chargers look like they may have a fighting chance. In the past weeks they have shone like a diamond, and they even hold a two game lead over the Chiefs who made it to the Super Bowl last year.
AFC East.
The Buffalo Bills started out slowly this year, losing to the Steelers in week 1, but they have upped their game since, and they outscored two playoff hopefuls in the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Football Team by a combined margin of 78-21. Impressive!
NFC North.
The Green Bay Packers were blown out by New Orleans in week 1, but since then they came back hard. They won four consecutive games including their thriller against the Cincinnati Bengals. Okay, there are still some issues, but they have the potential for this year’s playoff title.
NFC South.
Obviously, this is going to be the Buccaneers. With Brady at the front line, there is no doubt. They are already dominating as usual, with a tally of 16 touchdowns in five games. Not everything is perfect, for the Bucs, but we will see if they rise to power in the 2022 Super Bowl once more.
NFC West.
The Rams could be speaking for the NFC West this year, though five games the Pro Bowler Matthew Stafford has the team averaging at 28.2 points per game. They had a hiccup in Week 4 against the Cardinals. But we are keeping a close eye on them.
NFC East.
Do the Dallas Cowboys have a fighting chance this year? Maybe. They could be back as the Super Bowl 2022 winner. Dallas means business this year, Dak Prescott has them averaging at the second-most points in the NFL at 34 per game!
