Things To Do In Boston In December

Boston Celtics – In December the NBA action of course is well underway.  The Celtics have a great shot at capturing the NBA Championship, and there are some great matchups at TD Garden in December.  December offers the Celtics vs NY Knicks, the Celtics vs New Orleans Pelicans, the Celtics vs the Atlanta Hawks, and the Cs taking on the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, and the hated Philadelphia 76ers.  The Sixers contest is on Christmas Day at TD Garden.

The Nutcracker – Boston Ballet performs The Nutcracker at the Boston Opera House from Nov 29th through December 30th.  Many days offer more than one performance.  Schedule is here for the Boston Opera House.

Boston Symphony Orchestra –  The Holiday Pops performance dominates the schedule at the Boston Symphony Hall in December.  Don’t forget about the New Year’s Eve concert from the Boston pops as well on Dec 31st.

Boston Bruins – The Bruins have seven home games in December as they look to keep it rolling and make a run at the Cup this season.  There are great games versus the Detroit Red Wings, Arizona Coyotes, Toronto Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres, Anaheim Ducks, Nashville Predators, and New Jersey Devils.

Andrea Bocelli – The legendary and brilliant singer Andrea Bocelli has a new album and a farewell tour that hits TD Garden for one night in December.  Tickets are found right here for the TD Garden concert.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker – The Hip Hop Nutcracker performs twice (December 15th and 16th) at the gorgeous and recently renovated Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre.

Cinderella – The Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre also hosts Cinderella in December.  The classic stage performance is performing from December 18-30.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas – Wang Theater at The Boch Center will be on fire with Christmas joy and experiences as it plays host to the classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas.  Performances take place from November 28th through December 9th.  Moscow Ballet’s The Great Russian Nutcracker takes over the Boch Center for a show on December 19th.

College Hockey – No better city in the world for College Hockey than right in Boston.  Harvard Hockey, BU Hockey, BC Hockey, and Northeastern are all in action and some schools have men’s and women’s hockey.  Check the schedules for games as there are several intriguing games on tap.

Mighty Mighty Bosstones – The Mighty Mighty Bosstones invade the House Of Blues for three action packed shows on December 28th, 29th, and the 30th.  They arrive with a few options for fans to catch them and tickets are available at the House of Blues.  Of course, Boston is always rocking with other shows in the small to medium sized venues, so be sure to check out Paradise Rock Club, The Sinclair, City Winery, and Brighton Music Hall.
