Forward Dario Saric is returning to the Phoenix Suns on a three-year, $27 million contract, his agents Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman of Excel Sports told ESPN.
Saric has shown himself to be a versatile frontcourt player at the power forward and center spots, averaging 10.7 points, and 6.2 rebounds and shooting 35.7% from 3-point range.
Saric’s season blossomed prior to the March 11 shutdown and into the Orlando restart, where the Suns went 8-0. In four games in March, he elevated his averages to 18.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in 31.5 minutes.
His good play picked up again in the Orlando bubble, where he thrived in a sixth-man role — averaging 14.8 points and 7.6 rebounds and shooting 57.4% from the field, including 52.4% from 3-point range.
Saric, 26, was the 12th pick of the 2014 draft. He was traded to the Suns from Minnesota on draft day in 2019.
