Jazz to allow limited number of fans at gameson November 24, 2020 at 8:12 pm

Unlike in Milwaukee, where there won’t be any fans at Bucks home games to start the 2020-21 NBA season, there will be a limited amount of fans at Vivint Arena in Utah for Jazz home games when action resumes in December.

Vivint Arena will allow up 1,500 fans in the lower bowl only, plus suite-level seating on a limited basis. There won’t be fans in attendance for any preseason games, though, as the league is still working to announce the full schedule.

Face masks will be required for fans ages 2 and above while seating will be social distanced and hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the arena.

“The Jazz believe this is a responsible way to start the season from a public health and safety standpoint. Our intent is to increase the number of fans as the season unfolds in compliance with state guidelines,” Jazz president Jim Olson said in a news release Tuesday. “We want to reassure our guests that we are taking the utmost precautions to have a safe and enjoyable experience as they return. We are optimistic for the future and continue to closely monitor the public health situation with State of Utah, Salt Lake County, and Salt Lake City officials as well as the NBA.”
