Fantasy Football Value Gem: Here are a few options to consider if you need to fill out some roster spots at a low cost/player.

TE – Charles Clay

Cost: $3,500

Season Stats: 54 catches, 532 yards, 4 TDs.

The Bills face the Jets in a meaningless game with a good weather forecast and there are no reasons why the offenses should not be aggressive and put the ball in the air. Clay has been simply on fire lately but the QB switch to Manual could be a slight concern.  Coming in off the pine and looking for a job for next year Manuel should both use the hot hands of Clay and look for underneath, safe options which also includes Clay.  The Jet defense has been absolutely lit up recently.  We’ll roll with Clay at a nice price on Sunday. 

Fantasy Football Value Gem

RB – Fitzgerald Toussaint

Cost: $4,300

Season Stats: 44 yards rushing, 1 reception.

L’Eveon Bell is sitting out this game and there is no reason to risk DeAngelo Williams who is trying to return from knee surgery. That leaves Fitzgerald Toussaint to get the bulk or all of the workload.  The Browns are deplorable against the run ranking 30^th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed and giving up the most Fantasy points to RBs in the league.

WR – JJ Nelson

Cost: $4,600

Season Stats: 30 catches, 493 yards, 6 TDs.  

Let’s take a stab again with the explosive yet volatile JJ Nelson. This guy has major upside but he could be a dud as well.  However, since the Cardinals cut Michael Floyd he has gotten consistent targets and touches.  This meaningless game against the hapless Rams and their soft defense gives us no reason to think the little guy JJ Nelson won’t get a few nice chances here and even potentially two big plays.
