Norco, California is a small city that is perfect for families. It is safe and has a rural feel to it.

The area is known as Horsetown USA and it prides itself on its equestrian community. It has hitching posts, corrals, and city ordinances that require development to have a traditional, rustic, Western flavor.

Norco Fair

Norco california culture and things to do

The Norco Fair is one of the many things that makes the city unique. It’s four days of family fun at George Ingalls Equestrian Center in Norco. There’s live music, great food, rodeo and bull riding events, mower races, vendors, kid-friendly entertainment and much more.

Norco is also home to the Norco Animal Rescue Team (NART), a group of dedicated citizens who help stranded animals during disasters, fires or other situations. They’re the ones who work together to save horses and other large animals from a wide variety of dangers.

You can also play a round of golf at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Norco. This 18-hole course is nestled among the soaring hills of Norco and offers stunning views of the area. The club also has a pro shop and restaurant on the grounds to accommodate your needs. It’s a wonderful place to play a round of golf, and you can even book a tee time ahead of your trip online.

Circle D Ranch

Norco is a city that is known for its equestrian culture and things to do. It has miles of horse trails and split-rail fencing that connects the streets to a riverbed where horses can wander freely.

The city is home to a few equestrian training and shows facilities as well as ranches, including Circle D Ranch. Norco has a long history of embracing its equestrian community and branded itself as Horsetown USA.

Located on the northern edge of Norco, Silverlakes Sports Park is a huge complex that hosts equestrian events, sports teams and concerts. The area is also home to Hidden Wildlife Area along the Santa Ana River, with 25 miles of equestrian and hiking trails.

The Walt Disney Company recently opened a new Circle D Ranch in Norco, California to house and train the Main Street U.S.A horses that pull the horse-drawn streetcars at Disneyland. The new location is nearly twice the size of the old facility and doubles the number of horses that will stay there.

Horsemanship Classes

Norco is a charming, rustic Western-style city located just 50 miles outside of Los Angeles. It’s often referred to as “Horse Town USA,” and it’s a wonderful place to experience a stereotypical Western vibe without venturing too far from the urban hustle and bustle of major Southern California metropolitan areas.

Its low-profile, rustic Western design and equestrian culture are a reminder of the past when Norco was a settlement of independent farmers. Back then, developer Rex Clark had a vision for Norco that residents could enjoy the benefits of farming without having to travel for work or worry about their bosses or landlords.

As a horse community, Norco features little sidewalks and instead has many trails that riders can ride to town and tie their horses up at hitching rails and corrals near businesses. This makes for a truly unique community that is surprisingly easy to get around on foot.

Norco Museum

Norco, California is often referred to as “Horsetown USA.” It’s a place where equestrian culture reigns supreme. But that’s not all this small town has to offer.

The main attraction here, though, is the Norco Museum, a place to learn about California’s history and how it’s shaped the world around us. The museum features a variety of artifacts, including airplanes and military gear, that will take you back in time to the past.

It’s also worth taking a tour of the Norco Museum’s airshow, which is an excellent chance to see some beautiful planes in action. This is a great place to bring the kids as well.

Norco’s low-profile, Western-inspired design, with its equestrian culture and rural lifestyle, is just another of the reasons why this town is so popular with visitors. It’s a place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, without losing sight of the rural spirit that makes it so special.
