Belmont Stakes Day: Horse Racing Pick Longshot for G3 Jaipur

It’s Belmont Stakes Day and we have horse racing picks!   The big race does indeed look very interesting with a nice full filed and perhaps a favorite that could be vulnerable (unless it starts pouring rain according to some).  Prior to the Belmont Stakes there is basically a mini Breeders Cup card on tap at Belmont Park.  Let’s take a couple swings with a few bombs that could spice up a ticket.  This first one profiled is a real skull crushing turf sprint with a full field of fourteen.

Race 6 – G3 Jaipur 4YO and Up 6F (Turf)

Here’s a few reasons why this horse might run well here:

Recency/Late Speed/Distance/Surface/Pattern

• Really sprung to life the last three on the weeds running figs of 95, 97, and 99 which stack up very well in this bulky and talented crew
• Those last three came going a mile on the green two turns, 5.5F, and then 7F showing some nice versatility.
• In that 5.5F dash with a sizzling pace he rallied nicely from off the zip, was right there late around two turns showing the gas in the tank and could really appreciate this 6F
• Fairly lightly raced 4YO could be just warming up on turf, two snappy drills since that last indicating he seems to be in solid shape and fit and ready
• Trainer fires at 18% in turf dashes and a respectable 15% in graded stakes

Look, this is a huge field and a major scramble.  Maybe this guy can sit mid pack and find some room late as opposed to having to take all the heat up front with a cavalry charging after him.  Good luck!
