Are you ready to take the family and get away from it all? Everyone loves a vacation, but it can be a challenge to find somewhere that offers things to do and isn’t overcrowded and loud. Find your next destination with our list of five quiet spots for your next family vacation.

Outer Banks, North Carolina

If you want to soak up some sun but don’t want to deal with crammed beaches and rowdy kids on spring break, you should check out the gorgeous Outer Banks in North Carolina. With more than 100 miles of coastline to offer, there’s plenty of room to stretch out with your family.

That’s not to say there aren’t things to do in Outer Banks, as it’s packed with attractions and history. You can see the spot of the Wright Brother’s first flight, see an old shipwreck, or visit the lost colony of Roanoke.

Branson, Missouri

The Ozarks get the most attention as a vacation destination, but don’t overlook the charm and fun of Branson, Missouri. If your family loves seeing live music, few places are better than Branson. This vacation spot has numerous stages and shows like Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater and Dolly Parton’s Stampede.

Branson is also near Table Lake, where you can fish or hike on one of its many scenic trails!

30A Coastline, Florida

Florida is a premier destination for families with tons of attractions like Disney World and cities that cater to vacationers. But, if you’re looking for a more easy-going destination, consider the stretch of coastline between Destin and Panama City, known as the 30A.

The 30A has numerous must-see beaches to enjoy and quaint towns to relax in. In any of the 30A beach towns, you’ll find eclectic shops, restaurants, and some of the best golf courses in the state.

Glacier National Park, Montana

Yellowstone and Yosemite are perhaps the two most well-known national parks in the U.S., but Glacier National Park is as gorgeous and exciting as any national park. If your family loves camping and the outdoors, Glacier National Park has stunning vistas with mountain peaks and glacier-carved valleys you’ll never forget.

You can camp or stay at one of the available lodges in Glacier National Park if you need a bed after exploring some of the 700 square miles of trails the park has to offer!

Adirondacks, New York

Near Lake Placid, New York, is another lovely area where you can comfortably connect with nature in a quiet environment. There’s plenty to do in Adirondacks in winter or summer, from snowshoeing and dogsledding to fishing and whitewater rafting!

Adirondacks lets you visit near Lake Placid and witness its Olympic Museum and old sports venues without having to stay in a bustling tourist town.
